Amodel® Bios is a biobased form of Polyphthalamide (PPA) from Solvay produced using non-food competing biomass and 100% renewable electricity, resulting in the lowest Global Warming Potential (GWP) of all PPA resins.

Amodel® Bios PPA offers exceptional material performance, with the highest Tg (135°C) among all bio-based PPAs, as well as low moisture absorption, high elongation and weld line strength, excellent dimensional stability, and chemical resistance. Additionally, it boasts a smooth surface finish and colorability.

This innovative PPA is available in structural, electrification, and flame-resistant grades, making it ideal for a wide range of industries, including automotive and electronics.

In particular, it is well-suited for e-mobility and electrical applications such as surface mount devices, connectors, circuit breakers, switches, and fluid connectors.
