Pebax® Rnew is a range of thermoplastic elastomers developed by Arkema and made from renewable resources.

Pebax® Rnew is produced using Amino 11 chemistry, a unique chemical derived from castor oil, a non-GMO and non-edible crop. The new Pebax® range is available from 20 up to 94% carbon atoms from renewable resources, according to ASTM 6866.

Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) results show that Pebax® Rnew can reduce fossil energy usage by up to 29% and equivalent CO2 emissions by up to 32%.

This bio-based TPE retains the same properties of high-performance Pebax® elastomers for automotive, electronics, sports equipment and other applications, including lightness, spring back, elasticity return, impact resistance, and improved flex fatigue resistance.
