Sicomin's GreenPoxy® 56 Used in Sustainable Ski Production

Sicomin, a leader in bio-based epoxy systems, has partnered with MADskis, a Swiss company known for its innovative and sustainable handmade skis, to incorporate GreenPoxy® 56 laminating epoxy resin into their ski production.

This resin boasts a 51% bio-content, offering high mechanical performance while meeting MADskis' environmental and production standards. The collaboration aims to set a new benchmark in winter sports manufacturing by combining sustainability with performance and improving working conditions.

Co-founded by professional skier Aurélien Ducroz, MADskis utilizes the UNDO-REDO process, allowing skiers to repair or replace ski layers, thus extending their lifespan and reducing waste. GreenPoxy 56's low viscosity facilitates efficient reinforcement wetting, suitable for various laminating processes.

Sicomin's Matthieu Chaloin expressed pride in supporting MADskis' mission to create eco-conscious skis, emphasizing the role of advanced bio-based materials in the future of winter sports. This partnership highlights a commitment to eco-responsibility and innovation in ski manufacturing.
